I Keep Getting Errors with My Last 3 Dexcom G6 Sensors—Accuracy Has Gotten Worse

I’ve been using the Dexcom G6 for a while, and at first, everything worked smoothly. But the last three sensors have been a nightmare. The accuracy has completely dropped, and I’m constantly getting error messages—even during the first 10 days of use.

Over the summer, two sensors fell off while my child was in the pool. I reported the issue, and replacements were sent promptly. However, the new sensors have been nothing but trouble. They keep giving random errors and signal losses, especially after day 10 when the extension period begins—it’s practically unusable at that point.

It’s exhausting having to deal with these issues over and over again. We trusted Dexcom G6 to provide reliable glucose monitoring, and now I find myself constantly questioning its readings. Something has clearly changed with the recent batch of sensors because we didn’t have these problems before.

We’re seriously considering stopping use altogether. Dexcom, you need to look into this and resolve the quality control problems with your sensors. We rely on this device daily, and this level of inconsistency is unacceptable—please fix it.
