Dear Coursera Team,
My name is İdil S. U., and I signed up for a Coursera course in September 2024 using the 1-month free trial. I believed I had canceled the subscription, but later discovered on my family’s credit card statement that the subscription was still active until July 8.
As a student with limited financial means, this unexpected charge caused me significant distress. I have not used the platform or taken any additional courses after the initial free trial, which should be verifiable from your system records.
Additionally, since I live in Turkey, the foreign currency exchange rates make these charges even more burdensome. Despite not benefiting from the service, I’ve been charged for months, which puts me in a difficult position financially and emotionally.
I kindly ask you to review my account activity and consider issuing a refund for the unused subscription charges. I genuinely hope for your understanding and support during this situation.
