Corendon Airlines Overcharges for Flight Changes and Won’t Refund Canceled Ticket
Corendon Airlines really irritates me with their handling of flight cancellements and modifications. From İzmir to Berlin, I bought a round-trip ticket; but, my departure flight was canceled and changed into an open ticket. I was advised there would be no pricing difference whether I rebooked one week before or after the original date.
I agreed to postpone my flight via phone, but they denied when I subsequently tried to change the date once more and pay the difference! The most absurd component is Actually, buying a brand-new ticket was less expensive than changing my current one. How does that make any sense? They penalize passengers for modifying their flights, therefore forcing them to pay even more, instead of allowing acceptable alterations.
I chose another flight as a fresh ticket was less expensive. Knowing I wouldn't use my original Berlin ticket, I canceled it as a kind deed as Corendon might probably resell it quickly. They did not, however, give credit for next flights or even a refund. Their rationale? I bought not a Flex ticket. To be honest though, they would have come up with another justification if I had!
In customer service and reasonable pricing, Corendon Airlines has utterly failed. Certainly my last, this was my first time using them. I'm sorry not looking over other complaints before making a reservation. Hopefully someone sees this and stays away from repeating the same error. Corendon, you have unjust policies; correct this right now!
