On June 23, 2024, we had a Corendon Airlines flight scheduled for 02:05 from Nuremberg Airport to Antalya Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, we learned of a 90-minute delay. Including wait times on the plane, the total delay was about 2 hours. We landed in Antalya at 8:00 AM, and after passport control and baggage claim, it was 8:30 AM. We had a bus scheduled from Antalya to Izmir at 8:30 AM that same morning, which we missed due to the flight delay. Being the end of Eid al-Adha holiday, finding alternative transportation was challenging. We approached the Corendon office to explain our situation, but they were unhelpful and dismissive. Our only option was to purchase two bus tickets to Izmir for ₺1000 each, departing at 11:30 AM.
Originally, our flight was supposed to be from Munich to Izmir, but Corendon canceled it, forcing us to book the nearest return flight to Antalya. Corendon's cancellation of our initial flight and the subsequent delay caused us to incur extra bus ticket expenses. We're requesting that Corendon address our grievances and reimburse our additional expenses. If not resolved, we'll pursue all available options, including filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee. All relevant documents, including flight tickets, delay information, and bus tickets, are attached.
