In November 2024, I purchased round-trip tickets from Antalya to Cologne (March 17-21, 2025) with Corendon Airlines for a short trip with my spouse and child. Since it was a brief getaway, we were confident about our travel plans, so we booked and prepaid for our hotel in advance.
After nearly two months, we were informed that our Antalya-Cologne flight was canceled. Since our hotel was already paid for, we had to reschedule our departure for March 15 on the Antalya-Düsseldorf route, covering the extra train fare ourselves. Just two weeks later, on February 6, we received another notification that our Cologne-Antalya return flight was also canceled.
This forced us to extend our trip from six to at least eight days, incurring additional hotel costs for four extra nights and more unexpected expenses. Since we couldn’t take extra leave from work, I had to cancel our tickets entirely today. Corendon Airlines assured us that the refund would be processed within 15 days, but when I contacted the Cologne hotel, they refused to refund our stay.
This last-minute flight cancellation has caused us major financial losses, including extra hotel nights, train tickets, and disrupted work schedules. I demand compensation from Corendon Airlines for the damages caused. A trip planned four months in advance turned into a complete nightmare!
