My Columbia Shoes Tore in Less Than a Year and Got Rejected Without Explanation
I bought a pair of Columbia shoes, and within less than a year, the inner heel area developed tears in two separate spots. Since the shoes were still under warranty, I returned them to the store for inspection.
I waited for an entire month without hearing anything, so I visited the store myself to follow up. That’s when they told me that my warranty claim had been rejected—but they gave no explanation whatsoever for the decision.
This is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. If a brand known for outdoor durability can't handle such a basic defect properly, what’s the point of the warranty? The product clearly didn’t hold up to normal wear.
Columbia, I’m asking for a proper explanation and a full resolution, whether that’s a replacement or refund. Ignoring your customers and rejecting claims without reason is not acceptable—especially when the product has failed under light use in such a short time.
