Columbia Canceled My Parka Order After 3 Days and Still Hasn’t Refunded My Money

On Sunday, March 23, I placed an order for a parka on columbia.com. Two days later, my order still hadn’t even moved to the “preparing” stage—it was stuck at “order received.” I called customer service, explained the situation, and was told everything looked fine in the system and the item would be shipped within five business days.
But the next day, I got an email saying the item was canceled due to a stock error. I was shocked—how could a product listed as available on Sunday and still “in the system” on Tuesday suddenly be out of stock on Wednesday? What’s worse, the email didn’t mention anything about a refund.
I checked my mobile banking app: no refund, no pending transactions—nothing. I know how this works. I’ve been shopping online for years. Normally, once a refund is issued, it appears in the “pending” section, and the money hits your account in 5–10 days. When I called again and asked, “Where is my money?” they told me it would be refunded within 5 business days. I explained, “The refund should be issued immediately—banks just take a few days to process it.” But they kept repeating the same script: “We refund in 5 business days.”
So not only did Columbia keep me waiting for three days only to cancel my order, they’re now holding onto my money with vague excuses. Are they using customer funds for cash flow? This is incredibly disrespectful. I never expected such behavior from a brand like Columbia. You’ve lost my trust—refund my money immediately and stop wasting your customers' time.
