Citroen C5 Aircross 2020 Roof Paint Peeling And Warranty Refusal Issue
The paint on the roof of my 2020 Citroen C5 Aircross started peeling about a year ago. At first, I didn’t intervene, thinking it wouldn’t worsen, but over time the issue became more severe, and more paint began peeling from different areas of the roof. I then applied for support at the authorized Citroen service center. My vehicle’s license plate is 33 *** 458. After the service application, I also contacted Citroen headquarters, but I was told that my vehicle was out of warranty and that paint peeling was not covered. However, other Citroen service centers state that the paint warranty is 10 years, and I learned that 2019 model vehicles with similar issues received free repairs. My vehicle is a 2020 model with 55,000 km, and all maintenance has been carried out at authorized service centers without exception. I also consulted independent auto paint experts, who said this issue is chronic. My expectation from Citroen headquarters is that the paint problem on my car’s roof be fixed free of charge or that alternative solutions offered to other customers, such as compensation for loss of value, be provided to me as well. Otherwise, I will exercise my legal rights and file a lawsuit to set a precedent, and if necessary, escalate the issue all the way to the central office in France. I request that my issue be resolved as soon as possible.
