I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the handling of my complaint about a paint defect on my 2021 Citroen C3. The car has a black roof and a green body. The paint on the roof has started to flake off.
I filed a complaint with Citroen and, after a long wait, they finally acknowledged that the paint defect was a factory fault. They offered to compensate me for the loss of value of the car, but they have not yet paid me.
They said that they would pay me ₺8,000 in compensation within 3 weeks, but it has now been over a month and I have still not received any money. When I asked them why the payment was taking so long, they said that all the paperwork was ready but they were waiting for the lawyers to sign it.
I find it unacceptable that it is taking so long for them to get the lawyers to sign the paperwork. I have also asked them to provide me with written information about the case, but they have refused.
I feel that Citroen is just trying to fob me off and they are not taking my complaint seriously.
I am very disappointed with the way Citroen has handled this complaint. I will never buy another Citroen or PSA Group car again.
