I Face Character AI Reading Mode Restriction and Limited Usage Issue

I have been using Character.AI for about six months and was an active user on both the website and Android app. However, due to the recent changes over the past few weeks, I am no longer as satisfied with the platform as I used to be.

First, I encountered a new limitation that restricts usage to just one hour per day. While this restriction was frustrating, I initially chose not to react strongly, thinking I might find a way to work around it. Still, as an active user, I want to emphasize that this time limit negatively affects both creativity and overall user experience.

Later, a new feature called “reading mode” was introduced, and it was stated that users can only interact with characters if they are 18+. I know that many users on this platform are younger, and I am one of them. Being unable to express my creativity through writing and being forced into a passive, read-only experience is extremely frustrating and almost completely defeats my purpose for using the platform.

If necessary, the one-hour daily limit could remain in place, but I strongly request that the mandatory “reading mode” restriction be removed so that younger users can continue to safely express their creativity through writing and interaction.
