Windycar Charges $275 for Minor Scratches on Rental Car
On January 4, 2026, I rented a car from Windycar at Istanbul Airport. When returning the vehicle on January 14, 2026, I personally informed the staff that there were 2–3 small scratches on the front part of the car. Although these scratches were minor, I was charged $275.
In my opinion, $275. is an exorbitant and disproportionate amount for such small scratches—almost equivalent to repainting the whole car—which does not reflect the actual damage. I request that this damage fee be reviewed urgently, that a fair and reasonable amount be determined based on the actual cost of repair, and that the unfair portion of the $275. charge be refunded to me.
I kindly ask for a detailed written explanation of how this amount was calculated and for my complaint to be resolved as soon as possible.
