Budget Charged Me ₺3660 for a Dent on the Car I Didn't Cause
On August 12, I rented a car for a day from Sabiha Gökçen Airport. When returning the car, I noticed a dent on the trunk that clearly wasn’t caused by a metal impact but looked like it was made by a punch (there was no paint damage). I noticed this and informed the person receiving the vehicle. I was surprised because I had only parked the car in paid parking spots throughout the day. I also noticed several cameras around the return area, so I requested that they check whether the damage occurred during the previous rental, as the staff member suggested. However, after they assured me they would check, I never received any follow-up. Instead, they took the easy route and charged me for the damage. The dent wasn’t something easily noticeable when I first picked up the car, and had I not mentioned it, the damage might have been passed on to the next renter. The staff member who received the car was named B*** M***. The unprofessionalism of this company is truly disappointing. I expect a refund and a proper resolution. I paid a total of ₺1,669 for the daily rental and ₺3,660 for the damage.
