On February 27, 2025, at 8:00 PM, I rented a car from Green Motion’s Istanbul Airport branch and returned it on March 4, 2025, around 5:00 AM. I only drove about 200 km, and I returned the car with at least a quarter tank more fuel than when I picked it up.
However, on March 6, 2025, without any prior notice, Green Motion charged ₺2,605 to my credit card. When I contacted customer service, they claimed it was for exceeding the mileage limit and a detailed cleaning fee. After I disputed the charge, they admitted the mileage fee was a mistake and promised a refund, but they still charged me around ₺1,500 for cleaning—all because of a few drops of water on the passenger seat.
I only used the car for one day, returned it clean, and yet I was unfairly charged. Green Motion is scamming customers with fake fees. Avoid this company if you don’t want to be overcharged!
