I rented a car from Carjet, including their so-called “special insurance” package. When I arrived at Wings Rent a Car, I was told that this insurance was not valid, and they demanded a €1,000 deposit instead. They also said the deposit would only be refunded after 30–45 days — by then, I would already be back abroad. That’s an unreasonable delay.
They claimed that if I bought their own insurance for €240, they wouldn’t require the deposit. I found this extremely misleading and exploitative, considering I had already purchased full coverage through Carjet.
When I finally got the car, the fuel tank was completely empty, forcing me to immediately look for a gas station in a panic.
Once on the road, I realized the brake pads were completely worn out. I contacted their office, and instead of taking the issue seriously, they told me via message that “it shouldn’t have happened” and that “regular maintenance is always done.” Then, unbelievably, they suggested I spray pressurized water onto the hot brakes — something that could cause serious mechanical failure or even an accident.
They wanted me to drive three hours back to Antalya and then return again, paying for fuel myself. No one has taken responsibility for the danger or the costs I incurred.
This isn’t just about bad service — it’s about safety. We were literally driving with faulty brakes, carrying lives in that car. If anything had happened, who would have been accountable? Everyone involved — Carjet and Wings Rent a Car alike — only care about money, not safety or customers.
I will never rent from Carjet or Wings again, and I want a full refund and official accountability for this unacceptable and unsafe experience.
