I ordered a hot chocolate at Caribou Coffee, expecting a rich, authentic drink, as they claimed it was made with real chocolate. However, what I received was cold and tasted like overly sweetened milk. The color was also completely off—a pale, almost white-pink shade rather than the deep brown you’d expect from hot chocolate.
I immediately brought this up with the staff, who dismissed my complaint and only offered to reheat the drink instead of acknowledging that the product was completely wrong. After a five-minute argument, I was finally able to get a replacement, but it felt like I had to force them to fix their mistake.
Then, when I ordered a coffee, they refused to serve it in a porcelain cup, claiming it would "mess up the measurements." Meanwhile, when I mentioned that my husband received the same drink in a different size, they had no explanation and simply handed me a small cardboard cup instead.
This is not the level of service I expect from Caribou Coffee. Train your staff properly and serve drinks as advertised! Has anyone else had this experience? I won’t be coming back if this is the standard!
