Canon Refused Warranty Service for My Defective G3480 Printer

I purchased a Canon G3480 color printer from the seller Çobanoğlu Bilgisayar through N11 on February 3, 2026, for approximately $184 USD. I bought the printer for personal use.
Shortly after I started using the device, the printer began turning itself on and off repeatedly, and eventually the screen went completely black. After this issue occurred, I contacted Canon customer service. I was instructed to send the product to the service center by cargo shipment, and I was specifically told that because the printer did not have a valve system, I needed to completely wrap the device in stretch film, place it inside a plastic bag, tape every part securely, and send it only in its original box to prevent ink leakage.
Following Canon’s exact instructions, I carefully packaged the printer exactly as described and shipped it on April 30 to Teknoser, Canon’s authorized technical service provider. A few days after the printer arrived at the service center, I received feedback on May 5, 2026, stating that ink contamination was found inside the device and that the printer was therefore considered outside the warranty coverage. I was then asked to pay approximately $210 USD for repairs.
It is completely unacceptable that a printer with a valid 2-year warranty was excluded from warranty coverage because of alleged ink contamination, especially when I followed every packaging instruction provided by Canon customer support. I also find it unreasonable that the requested repair fee is even higher than the original purchase price of the product itself.
This printer is only about two months old, failed within a very short period of time, and is still being held at the service center. I believe it is unfair to place all responsibility on the customer under these circumstances. Therefore, I request that Canon and the seller resolve this issue by replacing my defective Canon G3480 color printer with a brand-new identical unit at no additional cost to me.
