BYD Canceled My Car Order and Refunded the Money Without Consent
On May 16, 2025, I paid a deposit of ₺100,000 to BYD Muğla Yatu Otomotiv in Turkey to reserve a vehicle, with a promised delivery date of June 2025—a commitment clearly stated by the dealer at the time of payment. However, in early June, the dealer informed me that the expected number of vehicles had not arrived and that my vehicle would not be delivered as previously agreed. To make matters worse, my deposit was refunded without my request or consent, effectively canceling the deal without my approval. This unilateral decision is both unethical and a clear breach of consumer rights and contractual obligations. I made this payment in good faith, trusting the BYD brand, and after waiting nearly a month, I am now left without a vehicle and no say in the matter. This has seriously disrupted my financial plans and personal schedule. I expect BYD Global and BYD Turkey to thoroughly investigate this incident, explain how such a large deposit could be returned without customer authorization, and offer a fair resolution. If no satisfactory response is given, I reserve the right to pursue legal action through the Turkish Ministry of Trade and Consumer Arbitration Committee.
