Budget Rental Van Destroyed My Amazon Weather Station

On June 5, 2026 at around 5:45 p.m., a white van, which I believe to be a Budget rental van, hit and destroyed my personal weather station that was mounted on a pole in front of my home in Calhan, CO 80***. Our security cameras clearly show the driver backing out from in front of our house and backing directly into the pole on which the weather station was installed. I only discovered the damage the next morning and then reviewed the security camera footage, which shows the incident and the van leaving. The weather station was purchased from Amazon in 2022, and I can provide the order details and proof of purchase to document the value and ownership of the device. I request that I be reimbursed for the full cost of the damaged weather station and any related replacement expenses, based on the invoice and purchase information I can supply. I am sharing this complaint so that the responsible driver and vehicle can be identified from the time and location, and so that my loss can be fairly compensated.
