Brooks Brothers Destroyed My Bag Without Consent – Demanding Full Replacement

I purchased a leather bag from Brooks Brothers on May 11, 2024, but by October 26, 2024, the inner pin broke. I submitted the bag for repair at their Hilltown store on October 31, 2024. After 15 days with no updates, I contacted customer service, only to be told the store was handling the process.
When I visited the store, I was shocked to learn that they deemed the bag defective and destroyed it without notifying me. Instead of offering a proper replacement, they suggested using the value I paid in May to purchase something else—like a basic t-shirt. This is unacceptable. The bag was my property, and destroying it without my consent amounts to confiscation.
I demand either a full replacement or a refund equivalent to the value of my bag. Brooks Brothers must take accountability and prioritize customer satisfaction.
