British American Tobacco Did an Unauthorized Survey Using My Personal Data
On November 8, 2023, at a tobacco shop in Bandırma, a survey was conducted in my name using my personal information without my consent. On November 9, 2023, I received a follow-up from the QUALITY FEEDBACK CENTER, inquiring about the survey. I clarified that I did not participate in the survey and did not purchase any tobacco products. Expressing my desire to file a complaint, I was directed to contact the BAT company. Upon reaching out to BAT, I requested information about the person who filled out the survey on my behalf but was informed that due to personal data security, they couldn't disclose the individual's name. When questioning how someone could use my personal information without consent, the response was merely an acknowledgment of the concern without providing a solution. It has been a week, and my issue remains unresolved. If my problem persists, I intend to file complaints against the tobacco shop visited, the person who disclosed my number, whoever filled out the survey, and the BAT company.
