British Airways lost my bag on a connection, how can I track it and claim essentials?

First, report the problem at the luggage desk or online. They will give you a missing-baggage report number (5 letters + 5 numbers) that you can use to find your bag.

Once you have the report number, go to their online tracking tool and enter your last name and the reference number to see the progress, change the delivery address, or add more information, such as an AirTag location link if you used one.

If you lose your bag, keep all the papers for the things you need to buy, like toiletries and a change of clothes, because British Airways lets you claim for these purchases while your bag is delayed.

Lastly, you can file a full claim for reimbursement if your bag is considered lost (not found after 21 days). Make sure you do this by the due date and include your report number, ticket, and receipts for any items that were lost or bought.

If the issue persists, share your experience and consider filing a complaint on Xolvie to seek a resolution.
