Unable to Log into Booking.com – Verification and Phone Number Issues

I wonder if the person who designed the Booking.com site can even log in themselves. You enter the code, it’s not accepted; request a new code, it doesn’t arrive; try to update your phone number, and it doesn’t work. The only country option available is China. How can an app be this difficult and ridiculous to use? It’s like they’re trying to share state secrets. It’s absurd that you need to log in to contact customer service, but the problem is, I can’t log in! Ridiculous.
