I Paid Booking for a Wheego Tirana Rental Car but Was Denied the Vehicle and Treated Rudely

I booked and fully paid for a 4-day rental car via Booking.com from Wheego at Tirana International Airport. However, when I arrived to collect the vehicle, I encountered serious issues due to a language barrier with the rental staff. They were extremely rude, dismissive, and refused to hand over the car despite the payment being confirmed.

Because it was my first time abroad, I tried to explain myself calmly. In response, I was threatened, told not to argue or I would “have problems with the police,” and even gestured at in a threatening way, indicating handcuffs with aggressive body language. I felt humiliated and unsafe. No car was delivered, but my ₺ payment was still taken, and Booking has offered no solution or refund so far.

Oddly enough, I received feedback requests for my hotel stays (which were fine), but no option to report or review the rental car experience. This makes me feel silenced and ignored. Booking.com should not partner with rental companies that mistreat travelers. I demand a full refund immediately and expect proper follow-up. This experience has made me question whether I can trust Booking for future travel.
