Booking.com Misleading Property Advertisement and Deceptive Listing Details

I made a reservation via Booking.com for “Comfy apt with skyline front view mins away from NYC” in New Jersey for 5–7 October, specifically because the listing showed an upmarket, clean apartment with a skyline view and many amenities. The property is advertised as house number 346, and the photos on Booking.com depict a nice exterior together with attractive rooms and a dining room. However, when I asked for directions, I was actually led to the neighbouring property at number 350 instead. This is a run‑down property, completely different from the one advertised, and it did not have the facilities listed on Booking.com or any of the nice rooms shown in the photos. The apartment I stayed in was dirty, had no view at all, and several of the amenities listed in the advert were missing. For example, there was no washing machine, no dryer, no kettle, no cutlery and overall the place was not clean. The room and general environment looked very basic and neglected, completely different from the modern, skyline‑view apartment shown in the listing. I contacted the property and Booking.com multiple times by email and shared photographic proof showing the real condition, address and view of the apartment, but I have not received any response so far. I find it unacceptable that I was given a different and lower‑standard apartment than the one I paid for and that my messages have been ignored. I request that this situation be investigated, that Booking.com take responsibility for the misleading and inaccurate listing, and that I be compensated appropriately for being placed in an inferior and misrepresented apartment at a different address. I also expect the listing to be corrected or removed so that other guests do not experience the same problem.
