Booking.com Booking Error — Reserved Room Not Available at Check-In

I made a reservation through Booking.com for a 3-person studio apartment at a property called Castle View in Kavala, Greece, with check-in on January 29 and check-out on January 30. I paid $80 for the reservation through Booking.com.

When we arrived at the property, we were told that the 3-person studio apartment we reserved was already occupied and that a mistake had been made. They said the only available option was a room for two people.

Since there were three of us, staying in that room was not possible. We were then told that a refund would be issued, and the reservation was canceled. As a result, we could not stay at the property and had to urgently find another hotel on the same day.

Later, when I contacted Booking.com customer service, they said they would contact the property regarding the issue. However, I was eventually informed that I would receive only $17 as a refund.

In the end, I could not stay in the 3-person apartment I reserved, and most of the amount I paid was not refunded. To resolve this issue and compensate for the inconvenience, I request that the full amount of $80 I paid through Booking.com be refunded to me without delay.
