Bolt Airport Ride Cost Me Double, Customer Service Failed

Totally absurd experience with Bolt. Not used the app for a few months, I decided to schedule a quick ride to the airport. Halfway into the procedure, the app requested me to change my payment method. I did. About €18 was the amount indicated before confirming the ride; everything appeared to be in order—no warning or message regarding any adjustments. When the ride stopped, though, I was shocked to find €39 charged on my account. Not explanation, not expense breakdown, nothing. Expecting at least a decent examination of what happened, I contacted Bolt customer service but they dismissed it and said the charge was accurate. They would not even give a malfunction or miscommunication any thought. It feels deceptive; I won't be utilizing Bolt going forward.
