BiTaksi Promised a Discount but Charged the Full Fare
On January 18, 2026, at around 4:45 p.m., I took a BiTaksi ride from Çengelköy Neighborhood to Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Before the trip, I received a notification in the app stating that a 30% discount would be applied to the ride fare. Trusting this promise, I completed the trip. I paid a total of approximately $38, and the promised discount amount was about $11.
After the ride, I was contacted by BiTaksi and informed that the payment could not be charged to my credit card, so I needed to approve a notification sent through the app. I approved the notification as instructed. However, when I later checked my credit card statement, I realized that the promised 30% discount had not been applied to my fare.
When I contacted BiTaksi about this issue, I was told that the driver had mistakenly selected cash instead of credit card as the payment method, which caused the discount not to be applied. I was also told that a request had been created and that the issue would be resolved in my favor shortly. Despite this assurance, two days passed with no refund and no follow-up.
When I contacted BiTaksi again, I was informed this time that my request had been rejected. However, the discount was clearly communicated to me by BiTaksi, and I completed the ride in reliance on this promotion and the company’s promise. Due to the failure to apply the promised discount and the contradictory information provided throughout the process, I believe I have been treated unfairly.
I am requesting that BiTaksi refund the promised 30% discount, which amounts to approximately $11, and that my grievance be properly resolved.
