BiTaksi Driver Refused Promo Discount and Demanded Off-App Cash Fares in Antalya
On August 8, 2026, at around 18:20 in Antalya, I requested a taxi through the BiTaksi app to take advantage of the 200 TRY discount campaign valid for the first 3 rides. As soon as I boarded the taxi, the driver stated that if I paid in cash, he could cancel the trip on the app and take the payment directly. When I informed him that I had no cash, he suggested stopping in front of an ATM so I could withdraw money.
When I explained that I had a 200 TRY discount through the app, the driver refused to accept it, stating, "They already deduct heavy commissions from us anyway." Upon reaching our destination at the end of the trip, he was not satisfied with the metered fare and demanded a higher amount; when I objected, he tried to justify the difference with excuses like "water expense, it was a mistake."
In a widely used platform chosen for its reliability like BiTaksi, it is unacceptable for drivers to attempt bypassing promotional campaigns, move trips off the platform, and demand fares higher than the metered amount. I believe such driver behavior must be dealt with strictly for the sake of your app's reputation.
I request that an investigation be conducted regarding this matter, that appropriate action be taken against the driver involved, and that monitoring and controls be increased to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
