BiTaksi Support Refused Help After Driver Double-Charged Meter Fare in Cash

On August 8, 2026, I requested a ride through the BiTaksi app from the Mezitli / Mersin 33330 area to Mesudiye Neighborhood, Akdeniz district. I selected card payment as the payment method and confirmed the ride under the condition that, per the discount coupon applied in the app, the fare would fall between 400 and 600 TRY.

Before arriving at my pickup location while my trip was active, the assigned driver accepted another ride, which he subsequently canceled on his own accord because the trip would take too long. When we reached the destination, although the taximeter displayed approximately 450 TRY, the driver entered the amount as 900 TRY in the BiTaksi app payment screen. He then marked the payment method as cash in the app and demanded that I pay this amount in cash. The attached screenshots demonstrate that the timestamp on the taximeter matches the exact trip completion time.

I boarded this ride relying on the promotional price range displayed on the BiTaksi app and believing I would pay by card. It is not my fault that the driver accepted and canceled another ride, nor that he unilaterally demanded a 900 TRY cash payment. Despite this, when I contacted BiTaksi customer service, I was told "you have to pay in cash," leaving my grievance ignored with no solution offered. Furthermore, the driver's attitude was extremely rude and disrespectful toward other drivers as well.

My old phone number registered on BiTaksi is 050735, and my currently active number is 053303. I demand that the details of this ride, the promotional campaign terms in the app, and the taximeter records be audited; that the 900 TRY collected from me be adjusted according to the promotional pricing with the excess amount refunded; and that necessary investigations and sanctions be enforced against the driver involved.
