We chose Bioderma Atoderm oil for my wife during her pregnancy to help prevent stretch marks, trusting the brand's reputation for gentle and safe skincare. Unfortunately, the product caused the exact opposite of what we expected. After applying it to her stomach and chest area, my wife developed intense redness and swelling on her skin.
She is currently 27 weeks pregnant, and instead of having a calm and healthy day, we ended up spending the entire day at the hospital undergoing countless tests to ensure the baby and her health weren’t at risk. It was stressful, exhausting, and terrifying. We followed all directions carefully, and the product appeared to be within date and properly stored—there was no misuse on our part.
This incident caused both physical harm and emotional distress during an already sensitive period. I will be reporting this to the Consumer Arbitration Board and any other regulatory body necessary.
Bioderma, who will compensate us for the anxiety, time, and disruption this has caused? We trusted your brand to support a safe pregnancy, and instead, it became a source of fear. I demand a full investigation, an explanation, and appropriate compensation. This level of harm should never result from a product marketed as safe for expectant mothers.
