After using Bioderma Sensibio micellar water, my skin became dry and red. How can I tell if it’s suitable for my skin type?

Bioderma Sensibio H2O is formulated for sensitive skin and is considered one of the gentlest micellar waters.

However, even the most delicate products can sometimes cause dryness and redness, especially in the following cases:

when the skin barrier is compromised (e.g., due to previous harsh skincare),

due to individual sensitivity to ingredients (such as poloxamers),

if the product is not rinsed off and residue remains on the skin.

How to tell if the product suits your skin:
If dryness and redness worsen after every use — the product is likely not suitable for your skin type.

If the reaction only occurs occasionally — external factors like dry air, stress, or combining it with other harsh products may be to blame.

Important: Although Bioderma claims Sensibio is rinse-free, it’s still better to wash off micellar water with water or a gentle toner.
