BetterMe Charged Me Without Consent Despite No Active Membership

I initially signed up for BetterMe under the impression that I was using a free trial plan. At no point did I authorize or knowingly switch to a paid subscription. I never used the app after the trial period, and yet, without any clear notification or consent, BetterMe charged me under a paid plan.
I only noticed this when I saw my phone bill and realized the total was unusually high. This kind of practice feels deceptive. There was no clear warning, confirmation, or opt-in for the paid plan, and I should not be charged for a service I didn’t actively use or agree to continue.
I’m requesting an immediate refund for the unauthorized charge and a confirmation that my subscription has been canceled. If this is not resolved promptly, I will escalate the matter through consumer protection channels. BetterMe must stop charging users without explicit consent.
