BetterMe Fitness Charged My Card Without Consent Since June 2024

I am filing a complaint regarding unauthorized payments taken by the BetterMe fitness app. I recently discovered that since June 2024, my debit card has been charged regularly every month, in the amount of approximately $8 per month).

I only clicked on the app’s advertisements, and when I saw that the service was paid, I exited without starting any subscription. Despite this, recurring payments for BetterMe Fitness were taken from my card without my knowledge or consent. I was never informed—either within the app or by email—that any subscription had been activated.

I am requesting that this unauthorized subscription be canceled immediately and that all amounts charged to my card since June 2024 be fully refunded to me.

I’m in the same situation, and this honestly feels like a scam. I cancelled my subscription just two weeks after signing up - around 2.5 months before the renewal date. Yet I was still charged for another three-month period. Now they’re asking me to prove I used the app for 7 consecutive days to get a refund! even though I had already cancelled long before the renewal! This is extremely frustrating, and honestly, it really feels like they are scamming people!!!
