Bershka Employee Dismissed My Valid Gift Card and Treated Me Disrespectfully
I am writing to share an unpleasant experience I had at the Bershka store located in Bursa Korupark AVM on June 4, 2026.
Following a previous return transaction, I was provided with a paper-format gift card by Bershka. When I visited the store, I informed the cashier that I had this gift card and wanted assistance regarding its use.
However, instead of reviewing the situation professionally, the employee assisting me immediately stated that such a document could not possibly exist and suggested that I must be mistaken. The conversation quickly became uncomfortable because I was effectively being told that what I was describing was impossible, despite the fact that I was certain about the document I had received.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I currently possess documentation related to that transaction, including both a payment voucher and an Inditex Gift Card record that clearly demonstrate the existence of the gift card in question.
Despite these documents, the employee refused to acknowledge the possibility that such a card had been issued and spoke to me in a manner that made me feel as though my statements were not being taken seriously. Rather than attempting to investigate the matter, the employee dismissed my concerns and created an atmosphere that felt disrespectful and accusatory.
Additionally, the employee repeatedly mentioned having worked for the company for 16 years and appeared to use this fact as justification for dismissing my explanation. Instead of helping resolve the issue, this approach made me feel undervalued and uncomfortable as a customer. When I requested identifying information, the employee also avoided providing his name.
As a customer, I expect Bershka employees to be familiar with the company's own procedures, documentation, and customer service standards. More importantly, I expect to be treated with respect, professionalism, and courtesy, even when there is uncertainty regarding a transaction.
I respectfully request that Bershka investigate this incident at the Bursa Korupark AVM store, review the conduct and communication style of the employee involved, and take any necessary corrective action to ensure that customers are treated appropriately.
I also request a formal response and apology regarding the manner in which I was treated during this interaction.
I hope Bershka will take this feedback seriously and use it as an opportunity to improve the customer experience and prevent similar situations from happening to other customers in the future.
