I purchased a clothes drying rack from Bauhaus on November 27, 2024. Due to travel abroad, I didn’t get a chance to use it until January 2025. During its very first use, I realized the product was defective, so I brought it back to the store to request a return.
The staff confirmed the defect and asked for my receipt. While I no longer had the paper invoice, I provided proof of purchase via my credit card statement, and they were even able to confirm the sale through their system. Yet, instead of replacing the faulty product, they only adjusted the broken part.
Unsurprisingly, the rack broke again immediately upon first use after the fix. I have to ask:
Is Bauhaus really selling products that last just one use? If I had wanted a disposable drying rack, I wouldn’t have trusted a brand like Bauhaus.
I don’t know the original manufacturer — I bought this because I trusted Bauhaus, not a no-name supplier. If you're not going to stand behind the products you sell, what confidence can customers have in your brand? I demand a full replacement or refund.
