I purchased an Asus ROG Flow Z13 last year, and within a year, I've had to send it in for service twice due to the same issue. The device's keyboard detaches to function as a tablet, but the connection points between the device and the keyboard have become oxidized due to excessive heat. The first time this happened, even though the device was under warranty, they claimed it was a user-caused issue and charged me for the repair because the keyboard wasn't working due to poor contact.
Just 2-3 months later, the same problem occurred, and I sent it in for service again. This time, I requested a replacement or refund instead of a repair. However, they once again blamed me for the issue, insisting on charging me to replace the keyboard. I refused because this is clearly a device-related flaw, not user error.
I have made it clear that I do not want a repair, but now the device, which has not been repaired, has been sitting in the service center for 10 days, waiting for release. They told me that once it’s released, it would take another 3 to 7 days to reach me. I am requesting either a full refund or a replacement for the defective device.
