Asics Gel Sonoma 7 GTX Shoes Fail Waterproof Test Despite Gore-Tex Feature
I purchased the Asics Gel Sonoma 7 GTX shoes on November 1, 2023, expecting high performance due to their advertised Gore-Tex waterproof feature. However, the shoes fail to keep water out even during short walks in rainy weather. Disappointed by this, I applied for an exchange on October 28, 2024. Unfortunately, my request was denied, as the company claimed there was no manufacturing defect.
I paid a premium price for these shoes, trusting their waterproof claim, only to face such a letdown. This situation is not only frustrating but also diminishes my trust in the brand. I have attached the necessary documentation and demand that this issue be resolved promptly. Thank you.
Could you explain how there is no manufacturing defect in a shoe that lets water in during daily use, even though your official website states that the shoe has Gore-Tex features (waterproof)? In what environment did your team inspect the shoe? Did they examine it without any contact with water, on a sunny day? Or do you send a standard form to the stores that sell your products? Are they giving this ready form to people, claiming it has been inspected?
