ASICS Did Not Stand Behind My Gel-Kayano 30 and Gel-Excite 10 Shoes

Asics is a complete disappointment. About a year ago, I bought the Asics Gel-Kayano 30 Men's Black Running Shoes from the Intersport store. Since there were tears on the upper edges, I sent them for inspection, and they refunded my money. Then I purchased the Asics Gel-Excite 10 Men's Sports Shoes from the Yalı Spor store. However, shortly after, the same kind of deformations and tears appeared on the upper edges. I sent the shoes for inspection again, but this time I was told it was user error. I only used these shoes for walking on sunny days. Should I have kept them on display instead of wearing them? I want to emphasize once again, if you are considering buying Asics shoes, know that they do not stand behind their products.
