Arçelik 15,000 BTU Air Conditioner CH-38 Error
On June 27, 2024, I purchased a 15,000 BTU air conditioner from Arçelik. During the installation, the unit displayed a CH-38 error. The service technician temporarily resolved the issue by toggling the switch, but the problem persisted. After that, the air conditioner failed to cool and continuously showed the CH-38 error. The technician who visited later claimed that the issue was due to improperly tightened valves, added gas, and left.
The next day, the CH-38 error reappeared, and I have been waiting for a response from the service for the past 5 days. I am requesting a replacement or refund from Arçelik, but I am unable to find a service representative to address my concerns. A unit that has been used only 5-6 times and is just one month old should not experience such issues, especially in this heat.
Despite requesting the replacement or refund from another service provider, I have yet to find a resolution. It appears that the next step may be to approach the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
