Arçelik Denied Replacement for My Air Conditioner Despite 30-Day Repair Delay

We received service under warranty for our Arçelik air conditioner on 10.01.2024, 19.10.2024, 20.11.2024, and 11.12.2024 due to heating issues but could not use the product. On 03.01.2025, the service team took the unit (both indoor and outdoor) for repair again. When we followed up on 17.01.2025, they said the repair was ongoing and would notify us once completed. By 04.02.2025, with no update, we contacted Arçelik’s Call Center, stating that the 30-day repair period had expired and requested a replacement. Our request was reportedly approved, and we received an SMS for a service appointment. However, instead of delivering a new air conditioner the next day, they hastily returned our old unit from the workshop. When we refused it, saying we expected a new product, the technicians insisted they were only there to reinstall the repaired unit. After contacting their supervisor, we were told, "We’re unaware of any new product request; your unit has been repaired." How could the repair be conveniently completed just after our replacement request? The unit’s warranty expired during this time, and I suspect it will fail again soon. Since the 30-day repair limit was exceeded, my demand for a new product remains valid. I expect an urgent resolution as we struggle to heat our home with small electric heaters in the snow. Despite this, Arçelik later called again, claiming there was no right to a replacement even after exceeding the 30 days or facing the same issue five times. They added that only if the same part fails three times is replacement an option. I am now researching my rights and considering legal action. I hope this issue is resolved promptly.

Arçelik service wants to install the air conditioner, says we are not charging a fee. What a great favor for a product sent to service within the warranty period! I do not want the air conditioner to be installed until the resolution process is completed. As I mentioned before, service was requested for this air conditioner for the same malfunction for the 5th time and the repair did not work 4 times. And now the warranty period has expired.

Result: The air conditioner, which was sent to service 5 times due to a heating problem, was not fixed 4 times, and when it went to service for the 5th time, the warranty period had expired. Additionally, it waited 32 days for repair at the service center. Arçelik's decision on this matter is as follows: - The repetition of the same fault for the 5th time is not a reason for replacement. - The repair period of 32 days at the service is not a reason for replacement. Your old air conditioner will be reinstalled. We will likely experience the same problem, and I will burn that air conditioner. I will never buy another product from this brand, thinking it has brand value and a solid warranty.

The service that came to install the old air conditioner is asking me where the air conditioner is. Arçelik's call center and authorized service are not aware of each other, and they are also unaware of the product in their own service; they just looked at the request title and came. They say you have opened a request saying the air conditioner is not heating. Yes. We had opened it for the 5th time on 03.01.2025...

On the day the air conditioner was installed, service was called for the sixth time. The drain hose of the first unit is left hanging, and the second unit is not heating. When the temperature drops to 3 degrees or below, the air conditioner does not heat at all and only blows very weak, lukewarm air. Its performance is decent at 5 degrees or above, but it does not compare to how it worked a year ago.
