Arçelik 1010 KM Dryer Needs ₺1300 Annual Maintenance After Just 15 Months of Use
On June 20, 2023, I purchased an Arçelik 1010 KM model dryer from the Arçelik dealership located at Pendik, Yenişehir branch. After only 15 months of use, the dryer, still under warranty, stopped drying clothes effectively, leaving them damp. Concerned about a possible malfunction, I contacted Arçelik Support and requested an authorized service inspection. Upon arrival, the service team confirmed that the machine was not operating correctly and required maintenance. However, I was informed that this maintenance would not be covered under warranty and would cost ₺1300, with an additional note that the maintenance would need to be repeated yearly. At no point during purchase, installation, or from any other representative was I informed of such an annual maintenance requirement. I believe this issue is due to a chronic or manufacturing defect with the device. I do not find it acceptable to pay ₺1300 annually (increasing to ₺1800 after the warranty period) and relinquish my dryer for a week each year for maintenance. I respectfully request a replacement with a machine that is free of this ongoing maintenance need and functions as expected.
