American Eagle Outfitters Jeans Reek Of Cigarette Smoke

On March 12th, I placed an order for a pair of jeans from American Eagle Outfitters. I got the jeans this morning. As soon as I opened the package, the whole room was engulfed in a powerful smell of cigarettes. I'm 38 years old and I've never smoked a single day in my life. I have a really bad reaction to tobacco products. These jeans reek of cigarettes so much that they're completely unusable. I reckon they might have been around cigarette smoke during the packaging process. I reached out to customer service and lodged a complaint. The rep told me I could bring back the jeans. Unfortunately, I'll have to forfeit the $25 promo code I used to buy them, and they don't have my size available anymore. I'm really let down by American Eagle Outfitters. This whole ordeal has been so darn frustrating.
