Amazon Rejected My Sony Headphones Return With No Clear Explanation

At the beginning of September, I purchased Sony headphones from Amazon. As soon as I received them, I carefully unboxed them to test and paired them with my phone. After trying them for about an hour, I was dissatisfied with the sound quality. I repackaged the headphones with the same care and returned them using Amazon's return procedure. Approximately three weeks later, I received a message stating: "After inspection, it was determined that the product was not used in accordance with its functionality, technical specifications, or usage instructions; therefore, we regret to inform you that a refund cannot be issued." This statement was meaningless since all I did was pair the headphones via Bluetooth and listen to music. I contacted customer service to appeal and requested that they explain what I had done wrong or provide a photo if there was any physical damage to the device. Each time, customer service agreed that I was right and said they would record my complaint. However, despite trying this process three times, I got no results. They kept responding with something along the lines of "The results of the warehouse inspection cannot be shared with customers." When I said I did not accept this conclusion, I was told I had no such right. Essentially, you are completely at Amazon's mercy. In short, my return request was rejected with an unrealistic and unfair fabricated/subjective justification. I was not given a proper explanation of why the return was denied. The reason I chose to purchase online was to return the product if I was dissatisfied with its sound quality. Otherwise, I could have bought the product at a similar price in a physical tech store. Despite not requesting it, they forcibly sent the product back to me. It remains unopened in its original packaging. The matter is now with the Consumer Court. For me, Amazon was a major marketplace for high-cost electronic products. From now on, I will only use it for simpler and cheaper items like clothing if absolutely necessary. Everyone should be cautious.
