Amazon Did Not Keep Its Birthday Discount Promise

Recently, I had a terrible experience with Amazon.de's customer service. They promised me a 10% discount for my birthday, but failed to honor their word. According to the instructions sent to me in an email, I was supposed to purchase the product and then contact them afterwards to receive the discount - yet when I contacted them after receiving the product, they showed no signs of fulfilling their promise. After numerous attempts of getting some kind of solution or explanation from them, they denied ever making any such promise in the first place! To make matters worse, they offered to refund me my money - however, since I'm currently in Turkey, returning it back to Germany isn't feasible. This whole incident has left me questioning Amazon's reputation and sales policy. By now I don't really care whether they will refund my money or not; instead all I hope is that nobody else has to experience what I went through! That's why I will make sure to share my story on all platforms so that others can be careful before making any purchases from Amazon.
