Allianz Denied Refund for Unused Days of Overseas Travel Insurance
On April 8, 2024, I attempted to obtain insurance for my vehicle at the Batuhan Insurance Agency in Zonguldak in order to travel abroad for a three-day trip. However, they were adamant that it had to be for a minimum of 15 days. So, I begrudgingly proceeded with the 15-day insurance. I traveled overseas from April 10 to April 13, 2024. Upon my return on April 13th, I kindly requested a refund for the remaining days. However, the agency stated that it was not feasible. Upon contacting Allianz customer service, I was informed that the cancellation process should be handled by the agency. After reaching out to the agency once more, I was met with the same discouraging reply. I find it unnecessary to be charged for insurance coverage for 12 days when I am only going on a 3-day trip overseas. I would like to request a refund for the portion of the insurance that I did not use. I kindly ask you to address this matter before I take it to the Consumer Arbitration Board.
