I Rented a Home on Airbnb for a Year but the Host Keeps Bringing Buyers to View It
I booked a house abroad through Airbnb for a full year, trusting that I’d have stability during my stay. However, just a few days after moving in, I discovered the property was actually listed for sale. Airbnb had rented me a house that’s actively on the market. Shortly after, the owner messaged me to say that potential buyers would be visiting the home to view it.
Since then, strangers have been walking through the property two to three times per week. I contacted Airbnb immediately to express my discomfort and ask for a resolution, but nothing has been done. Each time I complain, I get routed to a new customer representative who is either clueless or completely dismissive. They close my support case without offering a solution, forcing me to start from scratch every time.
This is completely unacceptable. Airbnb is still charging me a large monthly amount while providing no protection for my privacy, comfort, or security. I feel completely abandoned in a foreign country and at the mercy of a landlord who disregards my rights as a tenant. Airbnb must intervene immediately, stop these repeated intrusions, and compensate me for this ongoing disruption.
