I booked a five-day stay through Airbnb at a property called No6 in Kuruköy, Gelibolu. During my stay, I had no issues at all. However, after I checked out, the host, Mr. V*****, sent me offensive and insulting messages via WhatsApp. He falsely accused me of leaving the house dirty, throwing pillows around, walking inside with shoes, and leaving trash. In reality, I left the place spotless—I washed all the towels, cleaned the balcony and other areas, and handed the house over in a perfectly tidy condition. The only thing left was a small trash bag, properly tied up.
I contacted Airbnb support, but no solution was offered. All of my messages and the entire situation are recorded on WhatsApp. While I did not suffer any financial loss, I was extremely disturbed by the unfair accusations and the mistreatment I experienced.
What I expect is an apology and a guarantee that the host will not be allowed to make such false accusations against guests. I also ask that this negative experience be taken seriously and that Airbnb takes the necessary steps to prevent similar mistreatment from happening to other guests. I request that my complaint be linked to the name I am registered with on Airbnb.
