If your Air Canada flight was delayed without compensation, you may be able to seek financial compensation under the Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR).

According to these regulations, passengers are eligible for compensation for delays within the airline's control that are not connected to safety and last three hours or longer.

The compensation rates are $400 CAD for delays of 3-6 hours, $700 CAD for delays of 6-9 hours, and $1,000 CAD for delays more than 9 hours.

To register a claim, go to Air Canada's Flight Disruptions page and choose the right solution for your situation. To check eligibility, please supply your ticket number and last name.

If eligible, fill out the compensation form with your personal and flight information. Air Canada is required to react within 30 days, either by giving compensation or explaining why it is not owed.

If Air Canada refuses your claim or fails to respond within the specified time frame, you can file a complaint with Xolvie to raise awareness about the issue and inform others.
