Air Arabia Refund Request Still Pending
On January 6th, when I searched Skyscanner for a Jeddah to Cairo flight, I intended to purchase Air Arabia's ticket for February 25th. However, the website redirected me to Mytrip to complete the purchase. From Mytrip, I bought two cancellation-guaranteed tickets for Air Arabia's Jeddah to Cairo flight. When I attempted to cancel later, Mytrip instructed me to contact Air Arabia.
Air Arabia informed me via email that they would refund the amount of 7,070.99 TL, stating they would reimburse 262.19 AED per ticket. After confirming the email, they sent a second email offering 2,215.51 EGP as credit, valid for one year.
In essence, the refund for my 7,070.99 TL cancellation-guaranteed tickets was provided as approximately 2,000 TL worth of credit. Air Arabia directed me to contact Mytrip without assuming responsibility. Mytrip, citing airline regulations, refused to refund my money.
