The issue is a severe Service Negligence and Unnotified Cancellation by ConnectMiles Hotels (operated by Rocket Travel, Inc.) for Booking ID 933929994 at the Sandals Royal Curacao. The Breach and Negligence: The original booking (cost USD $7,434.51 + 49,900 miles) was canceled internally due to an alleged 'payment processing error' (even though my card had sufficient funds). Crucially, the agency failed to notify me of this cancellation. I only discovered the problem on December 9, 2025—just 10 days before my trip—because I contacted them to ask a question. The ConnectMiles system was actively and continuously misrepresenting the booking status as 'Active' ('Upcoming'), leading to gross negligence. Chronology of Damages and Legal Action: December 9, 2025: I discovered the cancellation. I immediately proposed a split-stay solution at the same property, demonstrating my willingness to pay the original price. December 10, 2025: The agency only responded vaguely that they were 'reviewing the case' and could not guarantee my proposed solution. December 10, 2025: Faced with imminent travel risk, I filed a formal legal complaint with COPREC (Defensa del Consumidor) in Argentina (No. 1602140). December 12, 2025: ConnectMiles Hotels formally rejected my solution and offered an insufficient compensation of only USD $500 plus the miles. I formally rejected the USD $500 offer on the same day. Consequences and Damages: Their negligence forced me to secure a fragmented, last-minute replacement stay for USD $7,034.64. The core damages are: The significant emotional distress and risk caused to my pregnant wife. The 3 days lost managing their failure instead of preparing for the trip. The logistical damage of a forced room change during the vacation. Outcome Demanded (COPREC/Defensa del consumidor Complaint): I am demanding the following: Full Financial Reimbursement: Reimbursement of USD $7,034.64 (new booking cost). Immediate Miles Credit: Credit of the 49,900 ConnectMiles.
